The Dwellingup camp has everything to offer, comprised of a high ropes and/or low ropes challenge along with navigation, abseiling, rafting, bushwalking and mountain biking. The camp is only limited by time. There is a choice of accommodation ranging from bunk house accommodation at Nanga Bush Camp to camping out under the stars. If you want to do both that's fine - the camp can be tailored to what your students want to do.
Ideally this camp is suited to a 4 or 5 day camp but can be compressed into a 2 or 3 day camp by reducing the amount of activities undertaken.
Listed below is a typical 4 day camp which can be accommodated at either Nange Bush Camp or under the stars.
Program outline
Day 1 - Depart for Dwellingup. Set up camp. Afternoon bushwalk and navigation skills.
Day 2 - Abseiling, flying fox and ropes course. The number of students will depend on whether or not the group is split in half and rotated through the activities.
Day 3 - Paddling on the Murray River in the morning. Navigation exercise in the afternoon.
Day 4 - Mountain biking in the morning before returning to camp for pack up and returning to Perth.
Any or all of the above activities can be included in the Dewllingup camp. A visit to the old POW camp can also be included as can a visit to Marinup Falls for a swim.
