Adventure Out

Bluff Knoll

Our Bluff Knoll abseiling programs are the height of adventure and are designed for students who have prior abseiling experience. Usually held over 2 or 3 nights, the camp includes a day of abseiling at Castle Rock in the Porongurup National Park and culminates with the multi-pitch descent of Bluff Knoll.

It is also possible to include a day of rock climbing at West Cape Howe, however this will increase the length of the camp by one day. Completing this camp is a great achievement for any student - working in such a challenging environment and frequently outside their comfort zones.

Below is a typical Bluff Knoll Camp Itinerary, however the program can be lengthend if required.

Program outline

Day 1 - Travel to Albany. Accommodation at Stirling Range Retreat.

Day 2 - Travel to Castle Rock for a full day of abseiling.

Day 3 - Wake up early and climb to the top of Bluff Knoll. Students will descend the first 3 pitches of Bluff Knoll. Students then return to Perth.

Please note day 3 can be substituted for a day of rock climbing at West Cape Howe. Students then descend Bluff Knoll on day 4 before returning to Perth.
